“Charting the Way Ahead” Ft Summit 2013 in Rome

FT SummitOn November 18 was held in Rome at the Hotel Cavalieri Hilton, the second edition of the Future of Italy Summit organized by the Financial Times in partnership with 24 Ore Group , Bocconi University, ANSA and some of the most famous names of Italian finance.

The event which this year had the theme ” Charting the Way Ahead ” brought together economic player , representatives of the publishing world , politics and finance to discuss the guidelines of this Government, which will have the daunting task of bringing the country from the current difficult situation towards recovery.FT Summit

On stage, moderated by the Deputy Director of the Financial Times , John Thornhill participated Prime Minister Enrico Letta, Alessandro Profumo – MPS Bank , Luigi de Vecchi – Citigroup , Luigi Contu – ANSA , Maurizio Gasparri Vice President of the Senate, Francesco Giavazzi – Bocconi Univeristy, and other prominent personalities of our socio-economic landscape .

The meeting dealt with topics such as the measures that the current Government intends to implement to restart growth, maintain political stability and foster the competitiveness, the loFt Summit 2013ng-term changes and measures   to stimulate the economic recovery and the identification of areas that offer the greatest opportunities for businesses and international investors.
The conference in Rome was a time for strategic reflection on the prospects of the country in political and economic terms, its role within the Mediterranean and on the world stage, and the risks, challenges and opportunities of international trade in Italy.
