Thanks, Jean Claude

“Jean Claude and I have shared a friendship that began in La Maddalena in 1973: for me he was like a brother, a human and creative touchstone. He was a genius of architecture and art, a man of great sensitivity and thought, capable of seeing beauty and harmony where others could not.”
Giancarlo Bracco, CEO & Founder

Late last night, Master Jean Claude Lesuisse passed away. A French-Belgian architect by birth, but Gallurese at heart and in his affections, he was one of the key figures in the visual and cultural narrative of Sardinia, particularly Gallura.

A trusted collaborator and right-hand man of Savin Couelle, Lesuisse was able to carry forward, with his own sensitivity, that architectural language capable of blending gently with the territory and dialoguing with the landscape: the granite, the wind, the Mediterranean scrub, the voids and solids, the light. A pioneering vision that gifted our region masterpieces of inestimable cultural value.

His works and interventions in Sardinia have become part of the memory and prestige of the places: from the residences in the Pevero Park to those overlooking Cala di Volpe, from the Piazza del Principe complex in the heart of Porto Cervo to Poltu Quatu, and the many transformations of stazzi in Gallura, restored to contemporaneity without betraying tradition.

A Master who united Art and Nature in the same breath.

There are architects who build buildings. And others who create places designed for emotions. Jean Claude Lesuisse belonged to this second family.

His architecture remains iconic: conceived directly on the site, sculpted among voids, solids, and light to let the voice of the place emerge. Throughout his long career, he defined an idea of living in which beauty is the protagonist — a lesson in culture and harmony destined to withstand the test of time.

In every project one can recognize an artisanal quality of thought, made of patience and precision, trusted craftsmanship, ancient and traditional techniques always integrated with a vision toward the future.

A Friend, a Master …

For Immobilsarda, Jean Claude Lesuisse was not only a fundamental name tied to Gallura and the Costa Smeralda: he was an authentic Master, one of those who do not simply leave works behind, but leave a method, a culture, a sense of beauty, an awareness.

From the iconic design of the key in our logo to the architectures we are proud to present to our clients today, Master Lesuisse taught several generations of professionals — ourselves included — the responsibility of working in this region.

On behalf of Immobilsarda, we join with sincere affection and deep gratitude in the family’s sorrow.vime

Grazie, Jean Claude
