Attesa per il prossimo 15 Febbraio l’inaugurazione della mostra fotografica Mediterranea di Massimo Golfieri, presso il prestigioso showroom milanese di Immobilsarda, già sede della Galleria d’Arte contemporanea THE NATURE ART GALLERY.

Il Mediterraneo e la Fotografia: un binomio tanto indagato, quanto poco compreso, che più ci si sforza di catalogare e interpretare e più sfugge.

Una ricerca fotografica di testimonianze del secolare incontro di culture che lo percorrono. La fotografia, se vogliamo, è uno strumento semplice, ma capace di dare vita a vere e proprie magie e i protagonisti che la agiscono sono forse gli interpreti più potenti degli incantesimi possibili.

Nel corso del tempo, l’esplorazione di Massimo Golfieri si è allargata, poggiando lo sguardo sull’intera area del Mediterraneo, e restituendocelo con una cifra nuova, un codice segreto che non abdica mai all’esperienza e alla relazione profonda; e quindi, senza creare discriminazioni e recinti, ma piuttosto per valorizzarne la storia.

È la visione poetica che tiene legati questi lavori, che non si esprimono mai come un reportage documentaristico. Una visione sociale nel senso greco di Piazza, di Agorà, come se tutto il Mediterraneo fosse un’unica grande piazza della Polis.

Per questo motivo, le foto della mostra, vengono sempre presentate dall’artista volontariamente non divise per razze umane, per paesi, per luoghi, per anni: la Piazza è il Mediterraneo che è sempre percorso, transito ed è tuttora un work in progress.

Immobilsarda presenta presso The Nature Art Gallery 50 opere in bianco e nero del fotografo Massimo Golfieri in formato cm 50×60 cm, tra le quali alcune colorate a mano con l’antica tecnica dell’albumina (tecnica storica dei Fotografi Pittorialisti dei primi anni del XX secolo) precedente alla fotografia a colori, sono pezzi unici per accompagnarci in un viaggio di suggestioni, tra passato e presente, reale e immaginario.

Una ricerca iniziata nei primi anni ’70, vissuta dall’Artista come una ricerca dei reali colori della memoria in contrapposizione con lo standard Kodak.

Una reinterpretazione della modernità, una scelta estetica, quasi vintage, quando il termine non era ancora stato pensato. Il risultato è straordinario non solo perché la qualità delle immagini è eccezionale, ma ancora di più il valore espressivo è fortissimo: traspira la passione di persone che vivono, comunicano e lavorano, si sente l’odore del mare e il profumo del cumino.

Con questa seconda mostra, The Nature Art Gallery conferma la sua vocazione di spazio espositivo, installativo e performativo dedicato all’Arte, alla Cultura, al Real Estate, e si propone come compito principale di essere sempre di più, come il Mediterraneo un luogo aperto, come una moderna Agorà, dove interrogarsi sulle istanze del nostro tempo confrontandosi con i grandi temi del presente, generando domande e creando occasioni di confronto.

 

Immobilsarda vi dà appuntamento Giovedì 15 Febbraio ore 18:00, in Via Visconti di Modrone 29 a Milano, per la serata a tema Opening Cocktail in compagnia dell’artista Massimo Golfieri e la sua Mediterranea. Restano visibili le opere permanenti degli artisti Eliane Aerts, Claus Joans, Antonio La Rosa, Alessandro Lobino, Adolfo Maciocco, Fabio Pietrantonio, Pablo Pinxit e Chelita Riojas Zuckermann.

Pleasant waiting for the Massimo Golfieri photography exhibition Mediterranea, that will be open on February the 15th, at the prestigious Immobilsarda headquarter which hosts the Contemporary Art Gallery THE NATURE ART GALLERY.

Mediterranean and Photography: a blending so much enquired, as misunderstood, that the more one strives to list and decode the more it slips out.

A photographic quest to proof of the centuries-old meeting of cultures that cross it. It’s an easy tool but strong in giving to spells a true life, and the subjects who liven it are perhaps most powerful of any possible spell.

Over the time, Massimo Golfieri exploration has grown, posing his eyes on the entire Mediterranean area, and returning it with a new figure, a secret code that never abdicated experience and deep relation; and therefore, not creating discrimination and fences, but rather to enhance its history.

It is the poetic vision that binds these artworks, which never express itself as a documentary reportage. A social vision in the Greek sense of the square, of Agora, as if all the Mediterranean was one large Polis square.

This is the reason why the photos of this exhibition are always shown by the artist deliberately not divided by race, countries, places,  years: the Square is the Mediterranean, which is routed, transited and still in full progress.

At The Nature Art Gallery, Immobilsarda introduce 50 photo artworks in black & white by the photographer Massimo Golfieri in size 50×60 cm, including some hand-colored ones with the old technique of albumin (historical figurative photographer’s technic of the early twentieth century) earlier than color photography, that are unique masterpieces taking us in an evocative journey between past and present, real and fanciful.

A quest begun in the early 70s, lived by the artist as a true-color search of memory in contrast with the Kodak standards.

A reinterpretation of modernity, an aesthetic choice, nearly vintage, when the term had not yet been thought of. The effect is outstanding, not just because the image quality is extraordinary, but even more the expressive value is very high: it scents of the passion of people who live, tell and work, it scents of sea and cumin.

With this second exhibition, The Nature Art Gallery confirms its vocation as an exhibition space, and lively addicted to Art, to Culture, to Real Estate, and it aims to be the main task to be more and more like the Mediterranean an open space, like a modern Agorà, where wonder about instances of our time dealing with the big issues of the time present, setting up questions and creating the chance for compare.

 

Immobilsarda waits for you on Thursday, February the 15th at 06:00 pm, in Via Visconti di Modrone 29 in Milan, for the Opening Cocktail themed evening enjoying the artist Massimo Golfieri and his photo exhibition Mediterranea.
