Always in Sardinia, he met the sculptor Gaspare Da Brescia where he became the aide for about three years taking part in the execution of religious subjects assigned works from the Vatican Museums, the experience that will mark the first Pietrantonio contact with a sacred iconography and his independent and original approach to the biblical emblems.

The journeys and long stays in Australia proved to be extremely pro for which its path of artistic growth. He gets early in contact with groups of artists and schools in Sydney and Byron Bay but the encounter with indigenous peoples to influence its formation greatly.

Pietrantonio begins his personal quest noting the symbolism and spirituality of Aboriginal Australians; drawing from a civilization still linked to a primitive lifestyle and a culture that is intact and unspoiled by progress and industrialization, he takes full awareness of those who will form the building blocks of his poetic vision centered on a newfound inner balance and a harmonious affinity with nature.

Another trip that deeply marks him was in New Mexico, where he met and explore the Native American Pueblos, meeting the elders and discovering the suggestions of the rituals and the charm of the celebration through the symbolism of the sacred.

The Pietrantonio’s “cosmic order artwork” is expressed through the use of materials such as wood, stone, dust, sand, and pigments balanced with metals, gauzes, coatings, strings and also gold petals.
