On September 3, the 2023 edition of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, edition number 33, was inaugurated in Porto Cervo with the Skipper’s briefing and the traditional Welcome Cocktail, hosted by the magnificent terrace of the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda.

The regatta is organized by the YCCS, in collaboration with title sponsor Rolex and the International Maxi Association (IMA). Competing are no less than 48 maxi yachts, all strictly over 60 feet (18.30 meters) in length, as per the rules, whose experienced crews will compete among the crystal-clear waters of the La Maddalena Archipelago starting from Monday, September 4, and up until September 9.

Grouped into different classes based on type and performance, the yachts that make up the fleet have always represented a rich variety of boats, a source of great interest both for enthusiasts and the merely curious. Moreover, the 2023 edition brings with it a new feature that concerns precisely the composition of the fleet: for the first time, in fact, we will also see Multihulls competing.
